FineCrosser Pro 2.4.2.1027 With Dictionaries Portable can automatically build clues-in-squares (Swedish style) crossword puzzles. These crossword puzzles have certain features:
- clues are placed in squares of crossword puzzle grid;
- directions of the words are indicated by arrows;
- pictures placed into crossword can be used as clues.
Can I export the puzzles I make to other programs?
Yes you can. You can export to almost any Windows program, including Microsoft Word (Windows Metafile Format - "wmf", Enhanced Windows Metafile format - "emf" ) and any version of CorelDraw that supports CorelDraw Script ("csc" format). It uses "metafiles" which are resizable and work well with Windows programs. Also it supports "bitmaps" like "bmp" and "jpeg" formats.
Does FineCrosser support foreign words?
Your theme words can be in any language you want as long as it uses the Roman alphabet. You can write your clues in any language you wish. Yes as long as you use the Roman alphabet. Do I have to write my own clues?
For newspaper puzzles, a clue will be assigned for almost every word in your puzzle. You can keep the clues you like, select among alternates provided by the software or write your own. For free-form puzzles, some of your words may have clues if your words are in the program's dictionary, but more likely you will need to write your own clues. For clues in squares crossword puzzles a clue must be short enough. You can edit it after construction of crossword puzzle will completed.
