ProKalc Portable is a complete scientific calculator with the standard mathematical functions +, -, x, / as well as numerous math functions. Included are powers, roots, reciprocals, percentage, absolute value, base 10 logarithms, natural logarithms, trigonometric functions, hyperbolic functions, combinations, permutations, etc. ProKalc Portable has a 10-location non-volatile memory -- the value stored in each memory location is saved to file and reinitialized upon restarting ProKalc Portable.
In addition to scientific functions, ProKalc Portable is also capable of a full range of financial calculations. Some of the possible financial calculations are dividend, profit/loss, present value, future value, loan calculations, various types of annuities, interest calculations, investment calculations, and currency conversions.
The result of all calculations are printed to the calculator tape for review and all or part of the scrollable tape can be printed, saved to Windows clipboard, or saved to file. The scrollable tape will hold the results of many calculations and will store well in excess of 1000 lines. For those who prefer a calculator with no tape, ProKalc's tape can be hidden from view.
ProKalc Portable is very intuitive and easy to use. Even so, integrated help is available throughout the program giving help on all calculator functions. The user also has the ability to turn a 'hint' feature on so that a small pop-up hint box appears as the mouse cursor is moved over the buttons on the calculator face. The latest version allows the user to configure many features in the program, including window location and the color of various screen elements.
Windows XP Themes capability has been added as of version 7.7a of ProKalc.

Beginning with version 7.9c, ProKalc is compatible with Windows 7 and 64-Bit versions of Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7.
