Getting organized
Zoner Photo Studio gives you control over your pictures. If you are like most people, you have collected more photos over the years than you know what to do with, and Zoner Photo Studio eliminates the frustration of having huge amounts of photos and not being able to find what you are looking for.

Picture Management and Archival
Digital photography is used today in every area of life. That means more and more photos… and rising importance for photo sorts and searches. That’s why we’ve improved the Catalog, making it quick and easy to find the exact picture you’re looking for.

The new Catalog filtering panel lets you show cataloged photos based on fulltext searches of their picture information—for example their rating, label, or GPS location, including filtering by several kinds of information at once. We’ve also added the often-requested ability to automatically manage associated files along with pictures (for example JPEG and RAW pairs).
  • Catalog filtering panel with fulltext searching and filtering by ratings, labels, GPS data, and more.
  • Easy automatic deletion/moving of associated files, like JPEG/RAW file pairs.
  • Quick file selection now supports selection by rating or label.
Editing Photos
Zoner Photo Studio includes many tools for improving photos so that you get the best results. New version brings a much requested Editor ability: support for transparency. Transparent pictures can now be edited and saved to transparency-supporting formats without damage, and transparency can be added with the new Eraser tool. The selection tools have also been improved and expanded to make edits and collages more precise than ever. The new Healing Brush, meanwhile, gives better skin retouching than is possible with the Clone Stamp ans selections can be created and adjusted using the new Selection Brush.
Quick Fix
The Quick Fix tool in Zoner Photo Studio is the easiest and fastest way to improve your photos. With no manual settings required, just one click of the mouse will get you great results.
Levels
The Levels tool is a powerful tool for manually working with photo histograms, and is one of the most-used functions for optimizing color levels in photos.
Curves
The Curves tool allows you to manually make high precision edits to exposure and color toning levels.
Enhancing Colors
The Enhance Colors window includes tools for RGB channel mixing, along with hue, saturation, lightness, brightness, contrast, and gamma correction settings.
Shadow Brightening
Shadow brightening is a special editing tool for bringing out the details in the dark areas of a picture. It is great for repairing shadow-detail problems in pictures containing both very bright and very dark areas.
Adjusting Color Temperature
With Zoner Photo Studio, you can adjust a picture’s color temperature by fine-tuning the color balance of a photo taken in color-changing conditions, such as photos taken on hazy hot summer days.
Sharpening
The Sharpening tool accentuates indistinct transitions on the edges of objects that often cause a blurred impression in the picture.
Blurring
The Blurring tool carefully smoothens overly "hard" edges by blurring them slightly.

Sharing and publishing
The main goal for most photographers is to show their photos off to family, friends, even customers and adoring fans. Digital photography makes it easy to print, export and share photos in many different ways. Zoner Photo Studio gives you a broad selection of tools for sharing and publishing – no matter the audience!

Direct upload to social networks and web albums
Direct upload to Facebook, Flickr, and Picasa Web Albums—your pictures are just a click away from where you share.
Printing and Exporting
Printing is the most common and traditional way of sharing photos. Besides supporting standard printing of single photos, Zoner Photo Studio offers many options for printing, including calendars, contact sheets, multiple photos at once, and more.

Web galleries
Many specialized programs exist specifically for creating web galleries. But with Zoner Photo Studio you won't need an extra program to create web galleries – the functionality is included. The easy-to-navigate wizard makes the job effortless. You'll soon be creating high-quality web pages that show off your photos, and you do not need to know anything about HTML programming to do it! You'll be able to preview the prepared gallery in a web browser, save it locally to disk, or upload it right away via FTP to a website of your choice.

Burning pictures to CDs and DVDs
Zoner Photo Studio helps you burn photo CDs and DVDs without having to switch out to another program. Several options are available:
  • pictures only, with the option to include a free viewer
  • DVD slideshows
DVD presentations
Zoner Photo Studio includes a wizard for creating professional DVD presentations. With many transition effects, and options for sub-titles, music (including support for WAV and MP3) and presentation format (16:9 and 4:3), you'll amaze your family, friends, and colleagues with your photos running on your TV or computer.

More sharing and publishing options
Zoner Photo Studio offers even more ways for you to share your photos, including file optimization for email messages, PDF presentations, FTP transmission, and more.

RAW Processing
Zoner Photo Studio includes a professional module for processing RAW files. These files, obtainable from many cameras, contain unprocessed ("raw") values directly from the camera sensor. To obtain a picture from these values, the data must first be converted ("developed") into a standard picture format like JPEG or TIFF. The RAW module lets you edit numerous settings like lightness, white balance, and sharpness before developing a picture.

The RAW Module
The RAW module offers several groups of settings to help optimize the how the RAW is converted. These groups are Exposure, White Balance, Sharpness, Tone Curve, Color, Noise Reduction, Rotation, Vignetting, HDR, Color Shift, Grayscale, Conversion, Camera Profile, Resize, Format and Path. A histogram can be shown in the module, and a history list for settings changes is available, so you can compare what effects individual edits will have.

The RAW Processing Queue
The RAW module also lets you put pictures into a processing queue. This is especially useful with large picture batches, since it prevents long waits during that long process. You can give each picture (or several selected pictures) its own conversion settings and then add it to the queue. The whole queue is processed at once, and processing can be paused and continued at any time.

Supported RAW Formats
Zoner Photo Studio normally uses what are called WIC codecs to decode RAW files. In some situations it uses an external program named dcraw, which enables loading of previews and EXIF information from the following RAW formats:
